Heard a conversation yesterday between two friends of mine. They were discussing whether or not believers really acknowledged the actual presence of Evil in the world, and in the life of a believer.
Some believers have the idea that God intends for them to suffer so they might learn. Others possess the notion that they must suffer here on earth so they might have the reward of Heaven.
Evil exists, people.
Read the 5th section of The Lords Prayer given us by Christ Himself.
If Evil does not exist why did Paul instruct the Ephesians to put on a suit of ARMOR.
In Rome, every statue of Paul has the great man holding a sword.
One does not need a sword unless he is doing battle.
Know for sure, we are in constant BATTLE.
Think about this,
from where does temptation come?
It does not come to us from God….
so we might learn a lesson.
If Christ instructed His followers to pray that they might be delivered from temptation…it comes from some source from which we need to be delivered.
Why do you suffer temptation?
The answer is in John 10:10.
Jesus lead us to pray to be delivered from Evil.
We have an enemy which wishes and works to steal, kill you and destroy the life laid out for you by your Redeemer.
Job suffered not because God brought up Job’s name to the Enemy.
Our common Enemy was after Job…
and came to God after him.
Evil is real and It works for your harm.
You have weaponry.
In preparation for His Ministry,
Jesus was confronted with Evil.
Know this,
He was constantly confronted with Evil.
As we are.
In His Confrontation, our Redeemer
showed us the weaponry His Father gave Him.
Scripture.
The Spoken Word of God to us.
It is the sword in Paul’s hands.
It is the sword which can be in your hand.
It’s the method Christ used to push back Evil.
He is our Great Example.
You will fight the battle with Evil until you pass from this existence into the next.
Use the weapons given you.
Acknowledge the Battle of Today.
Swing the Sword.
